Meet our Team

Jon Hobbs, PhD

Director at IP Solution, Jon has over a decade of international experience in intellectual property law. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Physics and is fluent in Japanese, enabling him to manage complex and diverse cases involving software and electronic arts, with a specialty in artificial intelligence and big data processing.

His core competencies include patent drafting and prosecution, litigation support, client relationship management, business development, and multilingual communication. Jon has successfully secured patents for Fortune 100 clients such as Verizon, Yahoo, and Capital One, covering cutting-edge technologies like AI-based patents, hologram AR/VR systems, and query patents. He has worked on high-profile infringement cases in the US, Taiwan, and Japan. He is passionate about contributing to the advancement and protection of innovations for businesses in the US and abroad.

Jon Rosenthal

Jon possesses extensive expertise in the creation and monetization of intellectual property. As a corporate associate at King & Spalding, he drafted numerous patent and trademark licensing agreements. He successfully marketed and led the sale of Florikan’s controlled release fertilizer patents to Simplot. As part of this transaction, he negotiated a license of the patent back to Florikan for its exclusive use in its territories. Simplot subsequently hired Jon to travel to 13 foreign countries to further license the technology to users in international markets.

Under Jon’s leadership, Florikan was granted five additional patents, each of which was monetized when the company was sold to Profile Products in 2021. Jon has transactional experience with intellectual property exceeding $100 million.

Jon is passionate about innovative and disruptive technologies and expanding their reach through creative and mutually beneficial contractual arrangements.
